Adamorobe: Ghanaian actor Mikki Osei Berko, who was recently enstooled as the acting chief of Adamorobe, a community in the Akuapem South Municipality of the Eastern Region, has become embroiled in a chieftaincy dispute following his installation.
According to Ghana Web, the dispute reportedly escalated after a rival claimant, identified as Douglas Amoako Danquah, allegedly planned a separate installation ceremony scheduled for May 4. This action has been described by the community's elders as illegal and a violation of an existing police restraining order.
The elders maintain that Adamorobe already has a recognised traditional authority, insisting that Mikki Osei Berko, who was enstooled as Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom, is the legitimate ruler. Adding to this, the report further indicated that the Aburihene, Nana Djan Kwasi I, has formally acknowledged the actor as the rightful chief.
Meanwhile, amid the escalating dispute, a court document containing an injunction filed by the Ghana Police Service has surfaced online and was sighted by GhanaWeb on May 3, 2026. The injunction, which has since gone viral on social media, reportedly prohibits Douglas Amoako Danquah and one Samuel Akwesi Bio from organising or proceeding with any installation ceremony.
