Tems is an example of the brilliance spirit of the Nigerian youth – Peter Obi eulogies Grammy winner

The Labour Party Presidential Candidate in the upcoming Nigerian elections, Peter Obi, has hailed Nigerian songstress Tems on her Grammy win.

The astute female singer on Sunday, February 5, won the Grammy Award for the Best Melodic Rap Performance at the ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

With her victory, the “Free Mind” hitmaker has become one of the few Nigerian female singers to win the Grammys.

Reacting to this, the aspiring president noted in a tweet on Wednesday, February 8, that Tems is an embodiment of brilliance, creativity, and undaunted spirit just like any other Nigerian youth.

“I am delighted to celebrate the Nigerian artiste Tems, who won the Grammy Award for the Best Melodic Rap Performance on Sunday. She’s an example of the brilliance, creativity, and undaunted spirit of the Nigerian youth. Naija will keep on winning,” read his tweet.

Goes by the real name Temilade Openiyi, Tems, received three major nominations in the categories of “Best Rap Song” and “Best Melodic Rap Performance” for her contribution to the hit collaboration with Future and Drake titled “Wait For U.”

Tems also received another nomination for “Album Of The Year” as a featured artist on Beyonce’s “Renaissance” album.
