Stonebwoy Refutes Claims of Rift with Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare Over Shatta Movement Allegiance

Accra: Ghanaian dancehall musician Stonebwoy has strongly dismissed claims that he has a problem with Benjamin Asare because the Black Stars goalkeeper is a fan of his rival Shatta Wale and his Shatta Movement fanbase. Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Stonebwoy expressed frustration over what he described as an 'evil mentality' among some Ghanaians who try to create unnecessary divisions between people based on their affiliations.

According to Ghana Web, Stonebwoy questioned why everyone must support the same people and emphasized that being a Ghanaian transcends any musical allegiance. The award-winning hitmaker highlighted that several Black Stars players openly support his Bhim Nation movement, insisting that he has never made an issue out of anyone supporting a different artiste.

Stonebwoy cited examples of players like Gideon Mensah, Thomas Asante, and Ati Zigi, who are supporters of Bhim Nation, stating that it has never been a problem. He further criticised those promoting divisive narratives, urging Ghanaians to focus on appreciating one another instead of creating unnecessary conflicts.

In his message, Stonebwoy also encouraged supporters not to lose hope despite the Black Stars' recent struggles, reassuring them that everything will be fine as long as there is life.
