Accra: Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has shared an unusual encounter he experienced with a woman he described as appearing mentally unstable, but whom he believes may have been a spirit. The incident reportedly took place one night while he was traveling to visit his father.
According to Ghana Web, Shatta Wale recounted the event during a TikTok live session, explaining that he encountered the woman at a traffic junction. As he waited for the traffic light to change, he suddenly heard a voice and turned to see the woman, who appeared mentally unstable. He asked if everything was alright, to which the woman calmly responded, 'Do not be afraid, our support is with you in everything you do.'
Shatta Wale described being moved by the interaction and offered the woman GHS500 from his bag. However, she declined the money, stating, 'I didn't come here for your money. I only came to deliver a message to you.' By the time the light turned green, the woman had vanished without a trace.
The encounter has reportedly influenced Shatta Wale's perspective on how he views and treats others. He expressed that it has made him more open and compassionate, regardless of an individual's background or appearance. Shatta Wale reflected on the experience, noting that he feels guided by a higher power and has resolved not to discriminate against anyone in his life. He shared that he believes this experience was a divine message, referring to a previous period of struggle he faced, which he views as a result of disrespecting one of God's children.
