Shatta Wale Criticizes Government and Authorities Over Fraud Arrests During ShattaFest

Accra:Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has once again criticized the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and the FBI following his arrest in 2025 for allegedly acquiring a yellow Lamborghini with fraudulent funds.

According to Ghana Web, during his ShattaFest concert at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 17, 2026, Shatta Wale interrupted his performance to express his frustrations with his past arrest and detention, labeling Ghana as not a serious country. He stated that while he has many friends allegedly involved in fraud, he himself is not a fraudster and would not betray them by reporting their activities.

The musician advised his audience that Ghana lacks sufficient opportunities for its youth, suggesting that those who choose to engage in fraudulent activities should continue if they wish. He expressed that his music career of 25 years allowed him to purchase luxury cars and rejected claims of fraud against him.

Shatta Wale also expressed his discontent since his arrest, suggesting that he would support public opposition to the government if necessary. He called on Ghanaian leaders to address the concerns of the youth and hinted at the need for new leadership that would provide comfort and opportunities.

Furthermore, Shatta Wale criticized the government's cooperation with the FBI in arresting Ghanaians over alleged fraudulent activities and encouraged the youth to seek financial success by any means necessary. He suggested that if the government fails to create employment opportunities, the youth should fend for themselves.
