Shatta Wale Cautions Fans on Social Media Conduct

Accra: Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has cautioned his fans against attacking personalities on social media in his name, emphasizing that he does not condone such behavior. Speaking in a recent interview with Serwaa Amihere, Shatta Wale urged his supporters to defend him without dragging people he respects into their online battles.

According to Ghana Web, Shatta Wale specifically mentioned the Asantehene as someone he holds in high regard, advising his followers against disrespecting the Ashanti Kingdom and its King. He stressed the importance of respecting individuals he values, stating that such respect should guide his fans' actions and interactions online.

Shatta Wale further explained that his recent court appearance was not an endorsement of specific actions but was intended to establish the basis for legal proceedings. He noted that individuals could engage in actions without immediate consequences, but other overlooked behaviors might eventually lead to repercussions. This, he clarified, was the reason for his court appearance, rather than an endorsement of any actions taken.
