SDA Church Commits to Job Creation in Bono East Region

Aworowa: Pastor Isaac Attah Lawrence, the Aworowa District Pastor of the Mid-North Ghana Conference (MNGC) of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, has expressed the church's commitment to job creation in the Bono East Region. He highlighted that the church is actively involved in establishing projects such as mineral water production, the Asempa Cooperative Credit Union, mushroom production, and commercial borehole-water initiatives to provide employment opportunities.

According to Ghana News Agency, Pastor Lawrence shared these developments during an interview at Aworowa in the Techiman North District, coinciding with the church's 10th anniversary celebration. He emphasized that beyond spiritual development, the church aims to enhance the socio-economic conditions of the community.

Pastor Lawrence expressed concerns about the negative influence of social media and encouraged the youth to leverage these platforms positively. He advised young people to utilize their talents and resources constructively and warned against the pursuit of quick wealth through activities like 'Sakawa'.

He further cautioned against detrimental practices such as drug abuse, gambling, and sports betting, which could have adverse effects on their lives. On the anniversary theme, '10 years of faithful mission', Pastor Jacob Atta Ankomah, President of the MNGC, regarded the milestone as significant and urged the congregation to remain steadfast and resilient in their faith.

Pastor Ankomah reminded the church that trials and challenges are part of the journey, encouraging them to endure in their mission, drawing inspiration from the perseverance of Jesus Christ.
