Sarkodie flew me out of the country for the first time — Akwaboah reveals

Singer and songwriter Akwaboah has shared a story about his first-ever travel overseas which was facilitated by his former record label boss and rapper Sarkodie.

According to the singer, he hadn’t flown outside the country until he worked with the rapper who took him on a tour through Europe and the United States.

“I was working with Sarkodie at the time I need the exposure and more and to travel abroad because I hadn’t traveled abroad before.

Sarkodie was the first person to take me on a tour abroad and he took me to the USA and the UK.” he stated in an interview on Kastle FM.

Akwaboah got signed on to the Sarkcess Music in 2016.

His duration with the label saw him co-write the rapper’s fourth studio album ‘Mary’ and perform together with him on several platforms.

Akwaboah was with the label for three years.
