Samini Reveals Reasons for Collaborating with Stonebwoy, Kinaata, and Kaakie on New Album

Accra: Acclaimed Ghanaian dancehall musician Samini has revealed his reasons for including his former mentees, Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata, and Kaakie, on his new album titled "ORIGIN8A." In a recent interview shared on X by 3Music Network, Samini expressed that featuring these artists is a way to narrate his substantial contributions to the music industry.

According to Ghana Web, Samini elaborated on his intentions by stating, "Yes! It all comes together so you understand the story of where we are coming from." He emphasized that his collaboration with these artists serves as a testament to his influence and the legacy he has built over the years.

Samini also addressed the significance of the album's title, "ORIGIN8A," which consists of 18 tracks. He explained that the title is a reminder of his unwavering presence in the industry and his role in nurturing new talents. "History has to know that we do things, and then people come, and they have to learn. So when you get the chance to reaffirm and renounce whatever it is, you have to make sure you do it in the right manner," Samini stated.

Reflecting on his journey, Samini mentioned, "So, this being my eighth album, I thought I'd remind those who just know me, and those who have recently gotten to know me, that it's been a long time coming. I'm an originator of something that's here, and it has come to stay." Through "ORIGIN8A," Samini seeks to highlight his enduring impact and the artistic path he has carved in the music scene.
