Russian Ambassador Andrei Ordash Engages with President Mahama in Accra

Accra: Mr. Andrei Ordash, the Russian Ambassador to Ghana, has paid a courtesy call on President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidency in Accra. A statement issued by the Russian Embassy highlighted the focus of the discussions aimed at enhancing the bilateral relationship between Russia and Ghana.

According to Ghana News Agency, during the meeting, the two parties explored a range of topics, including the strengthening of trade, economic, and investment cooperation. The discussions also emphasized the importance of expanding cultural and humanitarian ties and improving the bilateral legal framework between the two nations.

Additionally, both sides addressed the preparation for the participation of a Ghanaian delegation in the 3rd Russia-Africa Summit, which is set to occur in Moscow on 28-29 October 2026. The meeting underscores the ongoing efforts to fortify the friendly relations between the two countries.
