Baku:Real Madrid The Spanish football club is reportedly contemplating the appointment of French coach Didier Deschamps if current manager José Mourinho does not achieve the expected results.
According to Ghana Web, club president Florentino Pérez is dissatisfied with the team's performance under Mourinho's leadership. Despite significant support in the transfer market, the club's performances have not met expectations, with Real Madrid struggling to secure convincing victories.
The reports suggest that Pérez is evaluating Deschamps, a World Cup winner with France both as a player and as a coach, as a potential successor. This consideration arises from the team's inability to dominate games, as some victories this season have come with unconvincing displays.
There is concern among pundits and fans that Real Madrid may face another season without trophies unless Mourinho resolves issues in the midfield and defense. In the current La Liga standings, Real Madrid has won six matches and drawn two out of eight games, trailing Barcelona by six points as the crucial El Clásico approaches.
A decision regarding Mourinho's future might be made by January 2027, as Pérez plans to evaluate the team's progress and aims to prevent another trophyless season.
