Re: University of Ghana SRC Supports Maa Lydia

The leadership of the University of Ghana SRC General Assembly has come across an article on ** with the headline *University of Ghana SRC Supports Maa Lydia.*

The General Assembly will like to disassociate itself from the statements purported to have been made by the SRC President.

If the President indeed made those statements, he did so based on personal conviction and does not in any way represent the interests of the students of the University of Ghana.

The SRC is a strictly non-partisan body and should be treated as such.

We will want to entreat the General Public to disregard the article from as we wait for an official correspondence from the office of the SRC President.

We will also like to assure students of the premier university that we will continue to play our role diligently as expected of us per the mandate given us by you.

We must move the SRC forward by supporting the executive body in the performance of our oversight responsibility.
