Speaking at the Christian National Thanksgiving Service in Accra, President Mahama underscored the importance of integrity in public office, stating, "We will stand in the fight against corruption relentlessly, knowing that it undermines the very fabric of our society."

According to Ghana News Agency, President Mahama emphasized that individuals appointed to public office would be expected to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards. He cautioned those seeking appointments that the responsibilities would be demanding, ensuring that public resources and trust are managed responsibly. Drawing from the Bible, he reminded attendees of their duty to be good stewards of the nation, likening Ghana to the garden of Eden.

President Mahama outlined his administration's plans to diligently restore Ghana's economic fortunes by promoting sustainable energy and protecting the environment. He assured equitable distribution of resources, allowing all Ghanaians to benefit from the nation's bountiful blessings. Acknowledging the challenges faced by the country, he called for determination, innovation, and collective effort to build a prosperous Ghana for future generations.
