President commiserates with Heward-Mills, family over son’s death

Accra, April 20, GNA – President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commiserated with the founder and presiding Bishop of the Lighthouse Group of Churches, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills over the death of his son.

David Heward-Mills, 31, a medical doctor, and first child of the Bishop died last week in the United States after a brief illness.

“I came to express the sympathies and condolences of my family and I on this tragic loss,” the President wrote in a condolence book when he called on the Bishop and the family on Tuesday in Accra to empathize with them.

“I wish the Bishop and his family the strength, comfort and love of the almighty in this difficult time. May God console and bless the family,” he added.

The President was accompanied by his wife, Rebecca.

David Heward-Mills lived and worked as a resident physician at Prisma Health, Columbia, South Carolina in the United States of America.
