Police Retrieve Lifeless Body of 43-Year-Old Woman at Penkwase


Sunyani: The Bono Regional Police have retrieved the lifeless body of a 43-year-old woman in her single room at Penkwase in the Sunyani Municipality.



According to Ghana News Agency, a police statement revealed that the deceased, identified as Cynthia Boahemaa, was found hanging on a crossbar with a cloth tied around her neck. The body has been transported to a morgue for preservation and an autopsy.



The statement, signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, the Public Relations Officer of the Bono Regional Police Administration, noted that the police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. The report was addressed to and shared with the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani.



Co-tenants of the deceased, Hayford Nkansah and Eunice Adobea, alerted the police about the incident. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the body with a cloth around the neck and blood coming from the nostrils.



The statement further mentioned that the body was examined and transported to the Sunyani Teaching Hospital, where a medical doctor confirmed the death. The police have assured the public that efforts are underway to determine the details of the incident.
