Pastor Urges Parents to Speak Blessings Over Their Children

Nkwanta south: The Reverend Vincent Quarm, Sabon District Pastor of The Church of Pentecost in the Nkwanta South Municipality, has urged parents and guardians to speak positive and uplifting words over their children, saying such words could have a lasting impact on their lives and future.

According to Ghana News Agency, Rev Quarm made the call during the climax of the Church of Pentecost National Children's Week celebration, where children showcased their talents in kingdom service. Delivering a sermon at the event, Rev Quarm emphasised the crucial role parents play in shaping the character, confidence, and spiritual development of their children.

He advised parents to refrain from using negative, abusive, or discouraging words when correcting their children, stressing that words have the power to influence a child's self-esteem and outlook on life. Rev Quarm suggested that parents should instead use their words to encourage, guide, and bless their children while committing their lives and future into the hands of God.

Rev Quarm highlighted the importance of children hearing words that build their confidence and strengthen their faith. He added that parents should continually pray for their children and declare positive things over their lives. Furthermore, he encouraged parents to lead by example by demonstrating Christian values at home, noting that children learn not only from what they are taught but also from the actions and attitudes of their parents.

He urged parents to take their responsibilities seriously by providing proper guidance and creating an environment that supports the spiritual, academic, and social growth of their children. Concluding his message, Rev Quarm prayed for God's blessings and protection over the children and encouraged parents to remain steadfast in nurturing them in accordance with Christian principles.
