Parliament of Ghana has approved Lariba Zuweira Abudu as the Minister of Gender, Child and Social Protection and Francisca Oteng Mensah as her deputy.
The two were recently vetted by the Appointment’s Committee of the house.
Lariba Zuweira Abudu replaces Sarah Adwoa Safo, who was sacked by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on July 28, 2022, following her long absence from Ghana to attend to personal family matter.
The president subsequently nominated Lariba Zuweira Abudu and Francisca Oteng Mensah in August to be considered as minister and deputy, respectively.
