Atebubu: Ohempon Dr Yeboah Asiamah, the Paramount Chief of the Atebubu Traditional Area in the Bono East Region, has commissioned a 15-unit classroom block for the Model Basic School of the Atebubu Senior High School.
According to Ghana News Agency, the construction of the facility was funded by the Atebubu Traditional Council with support from the Atebubu Stool Land Secretariat. The new classroom block features an ICT center, a staff common room, and two offices, aimed at enhancing the educational infrastructure in the area.
During the commissioning ceremony in Atebubu, Ohempon Dr Yeboah emphasized that the facility exemplifies the outcomes achievable through vision, determination, commitment, and teamwork. He highlighted the importance of education as a central pillar of his vision and encouraged families to prioritize investing in their children's education.
He further remarked that while infrastructure such as roads, markets, and water systems are important, there should be a concerted effort to invest in the intellectual development of children.
