Original Mamamaama Concludes Successful South Africa Beads Global Tour

Pretoria: A Ghanaian bead entrepreneur has wrapped up the week-long South Africa Beads Global tour, marking another milestone in the brand's expanding global outreach. The tour, held in partnership with Excellent Curator, ran from May 6 to 12 and saw Founder and Creative Director Mrs. Monica Osei, known widely as Original Mamamaama, meet with clients and partners across Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Cape Town.

According to Ghana News Agency, the South Africa leg followed the launch of the global tour in Dubai, UAE in 2025, which set the tone for the brand's international expansion. Speaking on the purpose of the visit, Mrs. Osei emphasized connection, faith, and cultural appreciation. She expressed her desire to ensure that her clients uphold the core values of the beads business she started, aiming for them to excel by aligning their faith with their business and appreciating culture and arts.

The statement highlighted that aligning faith means that decisions, including business and crafting of products, must follow God's way. This approach, Mrs. Osei believes, ensures that products are impactful in mending marriages and bringing peace and joy. Addressing her clients, Mrs. Osei explained that many bead designs carry names given through prayer, with names like 'Aware Pa' meaning good marriage, and noted that customers have experienced positive changes in their lives after purchasing these products.

The business, as explained, goes beyond commerce and is considered a blessing from God, making every buyer a partaker of this blessing. Original Mamamaama Beads is renowned for its handcrafted Ghanaian beads, including traditional waist beads, with unique designs and names inspired by faith. The brand has built a reputation for blending cultural heritage with meaningful designs, resonating with clients across Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

Beyond the business meetings, the tour included visits to iconic South African landmarks and creative hubs. Original Mamamaama toured Nelson Mandela Square and explored several arts and craft markets to engage with local designs and celebrate African artistry. Mrs. Osei expressed her intent to familiarize herself with her clients, reinforcing the notion that they are now part of a family.

The successful South Africa tour reinforces Original Mamamaama Bead Global's commitment to building community, supporting entrepreneurship, and promoting Ghanaian craftsmanship on the global stage.
