ORC working with NITA to resolve temporary connectivity challenge – Management


The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has served notice to the general public and business community regarding a temporary connectivity challenge that the Office is currently facing.

In a statement released on May 3 and sighted by GhanaWeb Business, the Office announced that its management, in collaboration with the National Information Technology Agency (NITA), is working to restore connectivity in order to resume normal business operations.

The ORC further apologized to the public and business community for any inconvenience caused by this challenge.

Established as a government agency by the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992), the ORC’s main purpose is to facilitate the orderly conduct of business and provide services related to business registration, insolvency, and regulation. This is all done in an effort to create a more attractive business environment in the country.

The ORC is overseen by a governing board with full financial autonomy and control over the use of its internally generated funds
