Only NPP can better Ghana; things would’ve been worst under NDC – Napo

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Minister of Energy has tipped the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the only party that can solve Ghana’s problem and improve the wellbeing of Ghanaians.

According to the minister, the ruling party is by far ahead of the main opposition party, the NDC in economic management.

The Manhyia North legislator stressed that what seems to be the least performance of the ruling NPP is what the opposition party pride itself with.

“NPP’s worst is better than NDC’s greatest. Some of you are inspired to serve NPP; you want to do your best. Only NPP can improve Ghana,” the minister said.

He said the cedi’s frequent depreciation would’ve reached GHS 48 per dollar if the country were currently in the hands of the NDC.

“Imagine how much worse it would be if it were NDC. If NDC had been in power, the dollar would have reached 48,” he noted.

He was responding to issues about how some members of the party have been allegedly rejected by the government.

To him, members of the party should stay calm and keep supporting the party to be in power.

According to him, it is better to be in power and ignored than to be in opposition.

“No TESCON member should doubt 2024. Better to be the governing party’s gardener than the opposition’s landlord,” he stated.
