Dhaka:The Ntiamoah Foundation has officially launched "BEYOND 20 From Impact to Legacy," a year-long campaign celebrating its two decades of work in education, health, and community development, and outlining its vision for the future.
According to Ghana Web, the Foundation, established in 2006 by Robert Kwaku Appiah Asante, has been primarily active in the Birim North and Birim South Districts of the Eastern Region. Its efforts have focused on early childhood literacy, ICT education, scholarships, and health initiatives, including menstrual health programs and support for health facilities.
Over the past 20 years, Ntiamoah Foundation has invested over GHS23 million, supporting 34 schools, close to 6,500 young readers, and 14 community health facilities. Additionally, it has sponsored 436 surgeries and reached over 8,000 girls with menstrual health programs, showcasing a robust commitment to improving lives in underserved areas.
Executive Director Mercy Quansah-Ansah emphasized that the anniversary is a chance to reflect on past achievements and plan for the future. She stated, "BEYOND 20 is about creating opportunities today that will still be transforming lives twenty years from now."
As part of the campaign, the Foundation introduced a 20th-anniversary identity and redesigned website, which will feature impact stories and provide opportunities for support. Throughout the year, the Foundation will continue its established programs and introduce three flagship initiatives aimed at creating a lasting legacy.
Program B.E.A.M. will focus on developing future-ready young people through a comprehensive approach that includes literacy, life skills, and digital learning. Additionally, the R.K.A. Asante Scholarship Scheme will offer financial support and mentorship, launching with the 20 for 20 Awards, selecting the first twenty scholars.
The Legacy Project will invest in community spaces and infrastructure, including three multipurpose centers to promote youth development and community connection. Board Chair Dr. Kojo Pumpuni Asante highlighted the importance of partnerships for the next chapter of the Foundation's journey.
Derek Boateng from Zijin Golden Ridge Limited commended the Foundation's impact and expressed excitement about continued collaboration. The anniversary will culminate in a Fundraising Gala Dinner and Thanksgiving Service in December, celebrating past achievements and supporting future initiatives.
