Asante kotoko: Asante Kotoko have expressed concern over the slow pace of justice in the prosecution of the killer of their devoted fan, Nana Pooley. Nana Pooley, a staunch supporter of Asante Kotoko, was stabbed to death on Sunday, February 2, 2025, during violent incidents at a Ghana Premier League match between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC at Nsoatre. One year after his murder, no one has been prosecuted, prompting Asante Kotoko to express frustration over the slow pace of the case.
According to Ghana Web, Sarfo Duku, the Communications Director of Asante Kotoko, stated, "It's quite unfortunate" that justice has not been served after one year of Nana Pooley's death. Duku highlighted a year of reflection and anxiety for the club and its supporters, noting the lack of progress in the prosecution of some accused individuals.
Duku further explained that the last adjournment occurred due to the Magistrate's promotion to the Circuit Court, which resulted in the Magistrate's unavailability to continue with the case. This development has left the case at its preliminary stage, causing further delays in the pursuit of justice for Nana Pooley's family and the Asante Kotoko community.
