NLA and Kokrokoo Charities donate incubator to Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital

The National Lottery Authority together with Kokrokoo Charities on Saturday, April 9, 2022, donated an incubator to the management of the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital, at Mampong Akuapem in the Eastern Region.

The presentation was led by the founder of Kokrokoo Charities, Mr. Kwame Sefa Kayi, the Director-General of NLA, Sammi Awuku, and other stakeholders.

The donation was received by the Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr. Alex Benneh on behalf of the management and staff of the hospital.

He expressed gratitude to both the NLA and the Kokrokoo Charities and assured both parties that the Hospital would take good care of the equipment to serve the purpose for which it was donated.

Dr. Benneh went on further to state that the Incubator will augment the quality of health care for premature babies delivered at the hospital.

Dr. Benneh indicated that the incubator will increase the total number of incubators donated to the hospital to 2 pieces and was optimistic that more incubators will be donated.

The founder of Kokrokoo Charities, Mr. Kwame Sefa Kayi, expressed his excitement about the partnership with the NLA and lauded them for the good work.

Mr. Sefa Kayi said the donation to the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital brings to 45 the number of incubators, so far, presented to health facilities across the country.

In an interview, Director General of NLA, Sammi Awuku, stated the Authority’s commitment to impacting and improving the lives of Ghanaians in the best possible way.

According to him, the NLA will continue to dialogue with the leadership of Krokroko Charities to see how many more incubators we can partner with them to help improve health care delivery to the good people of our country.
