Bangkok:The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a directive to its members and aspirants, mandating compliance with campaign poster and banner regulations within five days. This directive warns that those who fail to adhere could face disciplinary measures.
According to Ghana Web, The NDC's Functional Executive Committee (FEC) specified that campaign posters and banners should not exceed five feet in width and eight feet in height. Campaign materials are to be displayed only at constituency offices, regional offices, and designated election grounds.
This directive comes amid concerns about the proliferation of oversized campaign materials across the country during the party's ongoing reorganization efforts. The FEC stated that these measures aim to maintain order, discipline, and fairness among all aspirants involved in the process.
The committee emphasized that as the governing party, the NDC must set an example by exercising modesty and restraint, cautioning against extravagant displays that conflict with party values and public expectations.
Aspirants and members have been instructed to adjust any non-compliant campaign materials by October 15, 2026. The FEC warned that deliberate non-compliance would result in disciplinary action in line with the party's constitution and guidelines.
The committee expressed confidence that party members and aspirants would comply with the new regulations.
