The pairing was confirmed during the official draw ceremony held in Cairo on Thursday, as the Ghanaian side prepares for its first-ever appearance in continental club competition. According to Ghana Web, Nations FC will travel to Mali for the first leg, which is scheduled to take place between 4 and 6 September 2026. The return fixture will be played in Ghana from 11 to 13 September. The winner of the two-legged tie will advance to face the winner between Nigerien side AS Zam and Togo's ASKO De Kara in the next round of the competition. The Kumasi-based club earned their place in the Confederation Cup after winning the 2025/26 Ghana FA Cup, securing a historic qualification for African football.
