Accra: Relationship coach and media personality Natalia Andoh has expressed that she has reached a significant milestone in her career, allowing her to decline job offers that do not align with her professional value.
According to Ghana Web, Natalia shared insights into her career journey on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, where she highlighted the importance of recognizing one’s worth in the industry. With years of experience in building her brand, Natalia has gained the confidence to reject offers that do not meet her expectations in terms of compensation.
During the interview, Natalia emphasized that she no longer engages in negotiations over her professional fees. She stated, “I’ve gotten to the point where I can reject jobs because if you’re not paying me what I think I’m worth, by all means, feel free to give it to the next person. I don’t have a problem with that because I feel I’ve reached a stage where I won’t negotiate my fee.”
Natalia operates with a fixed rate card, allowing potential clients the choice to engage her services based on her established rates. She compared her approach to purchasing goods, where quality often demands a higher price, illustrating her point with a metaphor about beer and champagne.
Her pricing structure is a reflection of the expertise and value she has accumulated throughout her career. While acknowledging the presence of esteemed professionals in her field, Natalia believes she has earned her place among them and is now in a position to assert her worth confidently.
Despite her firm stance on pricing, Natalia mentioned that certain professional relationships might warrant special arrangements. She expressed admiration for some industry peers while maintaining her resolve to uphold her professional standards, stating, “I have people in this business that I look up to because I believe they’re doing very well. At the same time, I feel I’m at a point where I can go toe to toe with them. I’ve earned the right not to negotiate my fee anymore. What I put down is what I’ll get. That said, there are exceptions.”
Natalia Andoh’s candid comments underscore the significance of self-worth and the empowerment that comes with recognizing and asserting one’s value in a competitive industry.
