Accra: The Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has openly criticized the recent polling data from Global InfoAnalytics, labeling the lead analyst, Mussa Dankwah, as a 'lotto doctor' and casting doubt on his credibility.
According to Ghana Web, Aboagye's comments were directed at the data compiled by Global InfoAnalytics, which indicated a decline in support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) appeared to be gaining voter traction, based on early results from the March 2026 tracking poll. During an interview on JoyNews' AM Show, Aboagye expressed his skepticism about the polling firm's credibility.
Aboagye stated that he does not regard the findings of Global InfoAnalytics as credible and advised against taking them seriously. He compared the nature of polling predictions to personal opinions, suggesting that Dankwah's work is not anchored in solid data but rather in conjecture and extrapolation.
He further scrutinized the firm's methodology, questioning the reliability of its data and numbers. Aboagye shared his experience of being targeted by the pollster's surveys after he publicly disagreed with Dankwah on various issues, suggesting a reactionary approach from the analyst.
Aboagye also referenced previous election predictions made by Dankwah that he claimed were inaccurate, citing Ayawaso East as an example where Dankwah's forecast was incorrect. He suggested that such predictions were based on emotions rather than empirical evidence.
Concluding his remarks, Aboagye acknowledged that Dankwah is ultimately running a business, maintaining an office and a team, which he implied could influence the nature of the polling work.
