MTN Momo Staff Embark on Wellness Walk to Promote Fitness

Accra: Staff of MobileMoney Fintech LTD (MMFL), the newly merged mobile money business, embarked on a spirited health walk on Saturday aimed at promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

According to Ghana News Agency, the 'MMFL Staff Wellness Walk,' was an 8-kilometre trek that commenced from Ayi Mensah, with participants making their way up the mountainous stretch with determination and rhythm. The event reached its peak at the iconic Peduase Lodge, where participants engaged in high-octane aerobic sessions, turning the finish line into a lively fitness celebration.

MMFL, rebranded from MobileMoney Limited (MMlL) effective March 31, 2026, now operates all MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) services as a standalone entity. The focus is on scaling fintech growth while adhering to regulatory requirements. Over 80 staff members participated in the early morning walk to promote a healthy lifestyle, fitness, teamwork, and togetherness.

Mrs. Dzifa Romano Mensah, Head of Human Resource at MMFL, spoke to journalists after the aerobic sessions at the Peduase Lodge. She emphasized that the initiative empowers staff to provide efficient services to customers. Mrs. Mensah also mentioned that similar exercises are planned for later in the year to enhance wellness and customer service.

She stated, "This is not just about keeping us safe but also ensuring that we are performing and delivering when it comes to our business." Mrs. Mensah described the experience as both rewarding and inspiring, highlighting the importance of unity and collaboration among staff. She added, "It's been definitely worth it and amazing. Not just walking but holding each other because our strengths are different, and that's the power of teamwork. We are also a family because MMFL brings us all together."
