Accra: Former presidential staffer Dennis Miracles Aboagye has attributed the ongoing disagreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to what he describes as weak leadership by President John Dramani Mahama. The public conflict revolves around the release of funds for agricultural programs.
According to Ghana Web, Aboagye expressed his concerns during an appearance on Joy News' AM Show. He highlighted that the visible discord between the two ministries is indicative of a broader leadership problem at the upper echelons of government. The tensions within the administration, he noted, have been simmering for a considerable period, and the recent clash is merely a symptom of the underlying issues.
Aboagye emphasized that the implications of the dispute extend beyond agricultural funding, suggesting that it reflects more profound challenges within the government. He concluded by reiterating his stance on the leadership, stating, "We have a very weak leader."
