Aduana Stars winger, Emmanuel Gyamfi was in fine form on Thursday afternoon and scored to inspire the team to beat Kotoku Royals 2-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
The club based in Dormaa today hosted the Week 12 opponent of the 2022/23 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
Following a strong display in the early parts of the encounter, the home team took the lead after just 17 minutes.
Former Asante Kotoko talisman Emmanuel Gyamfi got himself in a good position and converted a chance to give Aduana Stars a deserved lead.
Before the break, Stephen Anokye Badu also equalised for the hosts in injury time to double the lead for the side.
While Kotoku Royals would improve their performance after recess, the efforts of the team were not enough to see them score a goal.
With the half ending with no additional goals, Aduana Stars held on to win 2-0 to amass the crucial three points from the home match.
Courtesy of the result, Aduana Stars are set to stay top of the Ghana Premier League table at the end of Week 12 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
