Dutch-attacker of Ghanaian descent, Brian Brobbey has completed a move to rejoin his former club, Ajax Amsterdam.
The talented striker in the last few weeks has been in the transfer news with reports suggesting that he could be heading to England.
Although Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag wanted to sign him, the striker has opted to return to the Netherlands to fill in for Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller who left Ajax to sign for Borussia Dortmund this summer.
According to a statement on the Ajax website, the young forward has already joined his teammates in Austria where pre-season is taking place.
“Brian Brobbey has also reported to the training camp. The deal with RB Leipzig is complete, so the Amsterdammer is also in Austria to prepare for the season,” an update from the website of Ajax said on Friday.
Brian Brobbey, 20, left Ajax in 2021 but his time at RB Leipzig did not go as planned. He has returned to his boyhood club determined to make it big.
