Sokoban:A young woman, Selina Akumpisi, has taken her partner, Sylvester Okoh, to Ahenfie TV's Ahenfie Nkomo programme over a dispute about ending their relationship. Selina, from the Ashanti Region, wants to break up with Sylvester, but he insists on receiving GHS190,000 in compensation for the financial support he claims to have provided her.
According to Ghana Web, Selina shared that their relationship began after she completed school. Initially, she declined Sylvester's proposal while attending Adventist Senior High School and working at a wood factory, but eventually accepted after graduating. Sylvester financially supported her, including helping with accommodation expenses, and they lived together at first.
Selina mentioned that despite her family's initial opposition to the relationship due to Sylvester's Ewe background, she chose to continue with him. However, she now wishes to end the relationship, citing alleged maltreatment and broken promises, such as Sylvester's failure to attend church as he had promised.
She accused Sylvester of public insults, which he would later apologize for, but claims his behavior remained unchanged. Selina has moved on with someone else, but Sylvester opposes the breakup, even resorting to curses to keep her from leaving.
Sylvester, on the other hand, claims his love for Selina remains and alleges that she cheated on him. He insists on compensation for the money he invested in her during their time together. He also mentioned disagreements over church attendance, as he refused to switch from Action Chapel International to Selina's preferred Church of Pentecost, which added to their relationship issues.
