Nzulezu:Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, known as LilWin, expressed emotional distress while discussing the difficulties encountered during the shooting of his new movie, "Journey to Africa (Nzulezu)," which includes several Nigerian stars.
According to Ghana Web, the film was set in Nzulezu, a unique community in Ghana's Western Region where homes are constructed on stilts above water. This location posed logistical challenges for the cast and crew, necessitating a 40-minute boat trip to reach the site.
LilWin recounted issues with the Nigerian actors, who refused to return to the set after three days of filming due to discomfort with water travel. They proposed relocating the shoot, but this was not feasible as the storyline was intrinsically linked to Nzulezu and its distinctive lifestyle.
The situation left LilWin uncertain about how to proceed, given that the production was scheduled to last a week. He had to individually reassure the actors to convince them to continue filming.
The filmmaker empathized with their concerns, noting a recent tragedy where a Nigerian actor drowned during a water scene for another movie, heightening their apprehension about continuing in Nzulezu.
The movie features prominent Nollywood actors such as Kanayo O. Kanayo, Patience Ozokwo, Mike Ezuruonye, Charles Awurum, Zubby Michael, and Destiny Etiko.
