Accra:The manager of Ghanaian entertainer Kwadwo Nkansah, known as LilWin, Ray Moni, has criticized entertainment pundit Baaba Cann for her remarks about Nigerian actress Destiny Etiko’s role in the forthcoming movie ‘A Journey to Africa’.
According to Ghana Web, Baaba Cann criticized the film after viewing leaked behind-the-scenes footage during a discussion on Neat FM’s Entertainment Show. She argued that Etiko’s role did not align with the film’s core themes and setting.
In response, Ray Moni, whose real name is Richard Amankwah, took to Facebook to address the criticisms. He questioned the validity of judging a film based solely on behind-the-scenes footage, emphasizing that such footage does not represent the final product.
He defended the film’s casting, highlighting the notable talent involved, including Nigerian actors Kanayo O. Kanayo, Patience Ozokwor, and Mike Ezuruonye. Moni praised Destiny Etiko as a phenomenal actress, asserting that the film’s cast includes some of Africa’s finest talent.
Ray Moni urged critics to reserve judgment until the movie is officially released, suggesting that premature criticism undermines the vision and efforts of the production team.
