LA DADE-KOTOPON: Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, the incumbent Member of Parliament for La Dade-Kotopon, has officially launched her campaign for a second term, urging constituents to continue placing their trust in her leadership. She emphasized her dedication to improving living conditions and fulfilling promises made during her first term. According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Sowah highlighted her achievements over the past four years to a large gathering of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters. Among these accomplishments are the construction of roads in Tse-Addo and Burma Camp, the construction of La Market, and the redevelopment of the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre. These projects are part of her efforts to enhance infrastructure and economic activities in the constituency. Madam Sowah, who previously served as the Municipal Chief Executive of the area, called on constituents to support her and Former President John Mahama in the upcoming elections. She argued that the NDC, under Mahama 's leadership, is better positioned to address the country's economic challenges and offer relief to those affected by what she termed as the mismanagement by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). In recent weeks, Madam Sowah has intensified her campaign efforts by visiting homes and workplaces within the constituency to communicate her vision and the party's manifesto. She has also shared plans to empower women through skills and entrepreneurship training and address infrastructure deficits in the constituency's four Senior High Schools. As the first female MP for La Dade-Kotopon, Madam Sowah is among 29 incumbent female MPs seeking re-election in the upcoming general elections.
