Accra: The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has officially stated that Koku Anyidoho, a former Deputy General Secretary of the party, is no longer affiliated with the NDC. This revelation was made during an interview on Eyewitness News with host Umaru Sanda Amadu.
According to Ghana Web, Gbande clarified that Anyidoho's membership with the NDC has ceased, emphasizing that without official membership, Anyidoho cannot be considered part of the party. This statement comes in response to Anyidoho's recent claims of still being associated with the NDC despite his previous dismissal.
Gbande further alleged that Anyidoho is now involved with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), serving as a consultant to their 2024 presidential candidate, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Specifically, Gbande described Anyidoho as a spiritual consultant for Dr. Bawumia. When pressed for evidence to support these claims, Gbande insisted on their validity but did not provide concrete proof.
Additionally, Gbande criticized Anyidoho's recent comments regarding the NDC's internal processes, particularly about the sale of nomination forms. He argued that Anyidoho lacks the authority to influence or advise the NDC on such matters, given his non-member status.
