Talented Ghanaian rapper, Kwesi Arthur has spoken highly of season Ghanaian highlife crooner Kojo Antwi, otherwise known as Mr. Music Man.
The young rapper said Kojo Antwi has been an inspiration to him since he was a kid.
According to the “Baajo” hitmaker, he used to listen to the former VGMA artist of the decade’s music a lot at the time he was developing a passion for the profession.
“My auntie had a Kojo Antwi CD. And I went to go take it from her room, and I played that over and over,” he revealed.
“His compositions, how his instrumentals sounded, the words he used, and his melodies were really heartfelt,” the BET-nominated singer stressed, adding that he would love to feature the legend.
Speaking to Kafui Dey on Accra-based GTV’s Breakfast Show, the serial hitmaker maker said at the time he was growing up he used to be a fan of African music.
“I was usually into African music. You know, VIP, P Square, 2 Face, TIC Tac..” he said.
Since the release of his “Grind day” track, which was his breakthrough, the Tema-based young rapper has been doing well for himself locally and on an international level by producing back-to-back hit tracks.
