JarToGo: The fastest food service in Africa brings Republic Bar and Grill to East Legon

You’ve probably seen it, waakye in a jar, jollof in a jar, or attieke in the jar – well, this venture is actually bigger than you think.

In a bold move reshaping how busy people dine, JarToGo introduced the game-changing lineup of pre-served local foods in Jars. The company is redefining food-delivery logistics across the continent with its convenient “Grab and Go” concept for Busy People everywhere.

Unlike anything seen before, Jartogo seamlessly merges technology with sustainability. By utilizing remote sensors and thermally managed vending depots, the company enables restaurants to expand their reach without the need for building costly new kitchens or locations. Plus, with their vacuum-sealed packaging method, Jartogo ensures meals stay fresh and hot, without single-use packaging waste.

Now any food vendor or restaurant can sign up to sell on the Jartogo platform and expand to over 100 locations without building a new kitchen or restaurant. This idea was created by Akwasi Asamoah and his team at Enviro
Tech Ghana, a food-tech startup based in Accra.

But Jartogo isn’t stopping there. Teaming up with Buy Food With Plastic, they recently hosted an Eco-friendly Happy-Hour with the Republic Bar and Grill in East Legon.

The event was curated in collaboration with Base Network Agency by Obed Rocky Dadzie and Joanita Franklin and aims to blend community engagement with sustainability. Jartogo’s maiden Happy Hour was curated in collaboration with Jane Can Do and Kitty Palace, Republic Bar and Grill while Muud Swingz, the infamous afrotech/afrohouse DJ headlined the experience.

At the heart of the event are eco-friendly beverages served in reusable glass jars, set against a backdrop of a venue crafted from recycled shipping containers and powered by solar energy. It’s not just about socializing; it’s about making a difference, supporting environmental causes, and connecting with like-minded individuals. Alongside the Happy Hour experience a ‘Choking On Convenience Exhibition’ was underway featuring Essilfie The Ar
tist, displaying 8 never seen before artworks made entirely out of collected plastic waste.

Jartogo’s happy hour isn’t merely an event-it’s a movement toward a greener future. By joining in, attendees unwind, connect, and contribute to meaningful environmental initiatives. As sustainability becomes increasingly important, Jartogo leads the charge, inviting everyone to be part of the journey toward a more eco-conscious world.
