James Agalga Predicted to Become Future Speaker of Parliament, Says Dafeamekpor

South dayi: South Dayi Member of Parliament (MP) Rockson Dafeamekpor has expressed confidence that newly appointed Majority Leader James Agalga will eventually become Speaker of Parliament. Speaking on TV3's The Key Points programme, Dafeamekpor praised Agalga as a parliamentarian with a strong grasp of parliamentary procedure and the law.

According to Ghana Web, Dafeamekpor highlighted Agalga's natural ability to command attention whenever he speaks on the parliamentary floor. He described Agalga as one of the few MPs whose contributions demand attention, noting his effective communication and reasoning skills. Dafeamekpor emphasized that the Majority Caucus highly valued Agalga's contributions and guidance in managing its affairs.

Dafeamekpor predicted that Agalga would eventually lead the House as Speaker, stating that everyone is acknowledging his potential for the role. He further commended Agalga for consistently bringing unique perspectives to parliamentary debates, noting his flawless performance in Parliament. Agalga's appointment as Majority Leader followed Mahama Ayariga's step down, after being nominated for a Cabinet position by President John Mahama.
