Accra: Popular Ghanaian spiritualist Nana Kwaku Bonsam has announced that he has lifted a curse he placed on England captain Harry Kane, which he claims will enable the striker to excel at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to Ghana Web, Bonsam revealed in a video shared on X on June 24, 2026, that he performed a spiritual exercise before the Group L encounter, which he claimed prevented Kane from scoring against Ghana. The statement came after a goalless draw between Ghana and England on June 23, 2026, in their second group match of the tournament.
Bonsam stated that Kane had numerous opportunities to score during the match, but his spiritual intervention hindered the striker's efforts. In a recent interview with LBC TV, Bonsam confirmed he had conducted rituals to release Kane from any 'bondage of lack of scoring.'
Bonsam clarified that he harbors no ill intentions towards Kane and admires him deeply, even expressing a desire to name his son after the striker as a gesture of appreciation. He explained that the curse was solely intended to prevent Kane from scoring against Ghana.
"The curse on Harry Kane is lifted. Harry Kane is free to score. I did it yesterday. Harry Kane is not my enemy. I have a baby boy, I'm going to name him Harry Kane because I've loved him for a long time. People around the world want to talk to me, some even send money, but I don't need it. I know for sure Harry Kane is going to play very well. He's going to perform brilliantly in the next match. Mark my words, you'll say, 'What? This man is not human,'" Nana Kwaku Bonsam stated.
