Kumasi: National Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, has expressed his lack of concern over the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) assertions to retaliate when they assume power. The NPP has declared intentions to reciprocate actions against NDC members following alleged harassment and legal proceedings faced by some of its leading figures for misappropriating state resources.
According to Ghana Web, George Opare Addo conveyed his indifference to these threats during an interview with Oyerepa FM. He emphasized his commitment to his role, stating that he has always conducted his duties with integrity. Addo, who served as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Akuapem North for eight years, highlighted that no adverse audit findings have ever been made against him.
He stated, "I am not in power to make money but to serve the people of Ghana. I do my work diligently. I will finish my work after four years if President Mahama gives me the opportunity, and no one can point a finger at me. I am a Presbyterian and an Akuapem man who is content with what I have. If I came into government to make money, I would have joined the private sector where my people operate."
Addo further noted that while others might be concerned about the NPP's intentions, he remains unperturbed due to his clean record and lack of involvement in any questionable activities.
