Ho Rotary Club supports accident victim

Ho, The Ho Rotary Club has taken care of the medical bills of a ten year old boy who was knocked down by a vehicle at Asukawkaw in the Krachi East District of the Volta Region.

The driver of the vehicle absconded after knocking down Elia Denteh, who sustained severe head and body injuries.

Members of the Club, who were at the Volta Regional Hospital for a donation, spotted Denteh in a critical condition with a transfer note to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

The Club offered to help convey Denteh to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for surgery, following the inability of her parents to do so and took up the cost of the medical care.

Mr Vincent Asimah, President of the Club in Ho, said charity formed the core mandate of the Club and urged members to continue contributing towards the wellbeing of society.

He said health facilities often encountered similar situations and called on benevolent individuals and other organizations to help address such situations.
