Danfa (G/R) May, 29, GNA – The Reverend Daniel Kwesi Ayim, Pastor in charge of the Mount Moriah Congregation of the Presbyterian Church has admonished Christians to play their part to ensure unity in the Church.
He said: “When we are united in the body of Christ, we can achieve anything, unity is strength, unity is power,” and urged Christians to desist from sowing seeds of discord.
“Whether at the work place, in the home, in your marriage or wherever you find yourself, do not sow seeds of discord, ensure to maintain the unity of purpose,” Rev. Ayim said.
He was speaking on the theme: Maintain the Unity of the body.
“Do not engage in gossip, sexual immorality, or any acts that will sow seeds of discord among people or bring disunity,” Rev. Ayim said.
Using the story about the Tower of Babel in the Bible, he said, because the people were united and maintained unity they could achieve their purpose of building a tower, even with the wrong intentions.
Rev. Ayim citing John 17: 20 – 26, said, Jesus Christ knew the significance of unity in the body of Christ and thus prayed for unity among his disciples including generations unborn.
“If you are a Christian, endeavor to maintain unity wherever you find yourself, do not become evil by sowing seeds of discord,” he reiterated.
