Eastern region: Co-owner and Vice President of HAKLA SC, Douglas Attakorah Osei, marked his birthday by giving back to the community with a generous donation to the House of Grace Children's Home in the Eastern Region.
According to Ghana Web, the donation drive formed part of Osei's ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable children and uplifting society beyond the football pitch. Items presented to the home included cooking oil, 10 bags of 50kg rice, sachet water, bathing soap, detergent, toiletries, toothbrushes and paste, as well as sanitary pads and other essential supplies to support the children and staff.
Speaking at the presentation, Osei expressed gratitude for the gift of life and noted that choosing to celebrate with the less privileged was his way of sharing love and hope. He remarked, 'Birthdays are more than personal milestones. They're an opportunity to remind ourselves that we rise by lifting others.'
Management of the House of Grace Children's Home expressed deep gratitude, calling the donation 'timely and impactful.' They also urged individuals and corporate bodies to follow Osei's example and invest in the welfare of children in need.
The gesture has drawn widespread praise as a powerful example of compassion, leadership, and social responsibility that goes beyond football.
