Guinness Ghana’s Darko Named Marketing Manager of the Year

Accra: Mrs Dinah Asabea Darko of Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC has been named Marketing Manager of the Year at the 5th National Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Summit and Awards. The award recognises outstanding marketing leadership and innovation in Ghana's fast-moving consumer goods industry.

According to Ghana News Agency, a statement issued by Kingdom Concepts highlighted that the awards, organised by Global Ovations, recognised marketing professionals for excellence in developing and implementing strategies that drive business growth, strengthen brands, and create value for consumers. Mrs Darko, who is the Marketing Manager for the non-alcoholic category at Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC, received the award for her leadership in managing the Malta Guinness portfolio through consumer campaigns, strategic partnerships, and purpose-driven initiatives.

In her acceptance speech, Mrs Darko acknowledged the contributions of her team and partners, stating, "Marketing is about understanding people, creating meaningful connections, and delivering value that positively impacts consumers and communities. This recognition reflects the dedication of my incredible team, the support of Guinness Ghana, our agency partners, and everyone who has contributed to our shared success."

Mrs Darko has over 13 years of experience in marketing and public relations, having worked with prominent companies such as Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC, Wilmar Africa, Olam Ghana, and Global Media Alliance. Her notable work includes leading the Malta Guinness 'Made in Ghana' campaign, strengthening the brand's partnership with the Malta Guinness Women's Premier League, and spearheading its plastic recycling initiative.
