Gospel Musician Jayana Discusses Cosmetic Surgery and Judgment Day

Sanaa:Gospel musician Jayana has addressed the increasing trend of Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures among young Ghanaian women, emphasizing that such cosmetic surgeries will not matter on Judgment Day.

According to Ghana Web, Jayana expressed her belief that individuals have the right to make decisions about their bodies, as the ultimate judgment will concern their souls rather than their physical forms. She explained that by the time Judgment Day arrives, those who have undergone cosmetic procedures may have passed away and their bodies will have decayed, suggesting that God will not judge the physical body.

In her interview with Nana Romeo, Jayana stated, "On Judgment Day, your body would have decayed, so it cannot be judged for undergoing cosmetic surgery. We all do not know when Judgment Day will come. The Bible says the trumpet will be blown, and it is the soul that will be resurrected to Heaven; the body is not part of that."

Furthermore, Jayana highlighted the importance of the intention behind undergoing cosmetic surgery. She mentioned that she does not oppose such surgeries if they are performed for legitimate reasons, especially health-related ones, rather than to attract attention for promiscuous motives.

She elaborated, "Provided whatever you are doing, the intention behind it is what, for me personally, matters. If you are doing it for a just cause, then it's okay because of the intention. But if you are doing it because you want to attract attention, for promiscuous reasons, then, for me, I will say no. But if you feel you have to do it for a particular health reason, then it's good."
