Gladson Awako has resumed training with the Black Galaxies after an injury scare ahead of the 2023 African Nations Championship [CHAN] tournament in Algeria.
The Hearts of Oak midfielder sustained an injury in the friendly against Algeria over the weekend at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.
With days to kick off the tournament, the midfielder has resumed training with the side.
Awako, who also serves as the skipper for the side was involved in light work, hoping to join the team for the next full session and will be available for Ghana’s group opener.
Meanwhile, the Black Galaxies will wrap up their preparations ahead of the tournament with a final friendly game against Mozambique later today at the 5 July 1962 Stadium with kick-off scheduled at 15:00GMT.
Ghana have been housed in Group C alongside holders Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar.
The competition commences this Friday, January 13, 2023, to February 4.
