Fijai Old Students Association Appoints New Leadership Team

Accra: The Fijai Old Students Association (FOSA Global) has elected a new 13-member executive committee to steer the affairs of the association for the next two years. The new executives were elected and sworn in during the Association's 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at the school's Assembly Hall at Fijai.

According to Ghana News Agency, the AGM was held under the theme 'One Vision, One Legacy' and brought together past students from various year groups to take stock of past activities and deliberate on strategies to strengthen the Association. Mr. Abraham Quandahor, President of FOSA Global, on behalf of the newly elected executives, thanked members for the confidence reposed in them and the mandate to lead the Association for the next two years.

He emphasized that their election marked the beginning of a new chapter for FOSA Global and called on members to reconnect, collaborate, and reposition the Association for greater impact. Mr. Quandahor pledged to work closely with the school administration to build stronger partnerships in support of academic excellence, infrastructure development, mentorship, and student welfare. He stressed the importance of a proactive and transformational relationship between the alumni and their alma mater.

The newly elected president highlighted that the Association would strengthen its network through unity, engagement, and empowerment, emphasizing that unity would serve as the foundation, engagement as the strategy, and empowerment as the mission. He urged members to support the executives in creating opportunities for mentorship, career development, business networking, youth development, and collaboration for mutual benefit.

Mr. Kwame Edjah, Board Chairman of Fijai Senior High School, appealed to the alumni to support school management in raising academic standards, maintaining discipline among students, and contributing to infrastructural development. He expressed concern about declining discipline in the school and urged FOSA Global to help reverse the trend. Mr. Kenneth Agbomadze, Headmaster of the school, commended the Association for its continued support through various projects and initiatives aimed at the development of the school.
