Fidelity Bank Completes Renovation of Pwalugu Police Training School Auditorium

Accra: Fidelity Bank Ghana has renovated a multipurpose auditorium at the Police Public Safety Training School (PPSTS) in Pwalugu, located in the Upper East Region. The refurbished facility aims to enhance the space available for training, conferences, strategic engagements, and other institutional activities.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Harold Ansah, Head of Personal Banking at Fidelity Bank, officially handed over the renovated facility to Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dr Wilson Aniagyei, during a brief ceremony. Fidelity Bank has consistently supported the school by addressing its training and safety needs, including the construction of a mechanised borehole, upgrading kitchen facilities, and providing essential equipment such as cookers, gas cylinders, dining tables, and benches to facilitate the institution’s daily operations.

Mr Ansah, speaking on behalf of Godfred Attafuah, Divisional Director of Retail Banking, highlighted that the Corporate Social investment would bolster the operational and service capacity of law enforcement professionals who are responsible for protecting lives and property. He emphasized the importance of investing in spaces where law enforcement professionals learn and strategise, thereby reinforcing the bank’s commitment to national security and community well-being. Mr Ansah underscored that this initiative is a partnership with the intent to sustain.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Dr Aniagyei, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, thanked Fidelity Bank for its continued support over the years. He noted that the renovated facility would aid in the development and training of professionals, further enhancing the Service’s capacity to maintain public safety. ACP Aniagyei also conveyed the institution’s dedication to strengthening its relationship with Fidelity Bank in the future.

Fidelity Bank views the renovation project as an investment in both the people and the mission it serves, aiming to support the development of capable law enforcement personnel.
